Volunteers are dependable, enthusiastic, responsible and efficient. Most volunteer because they want to give back to society while others have a passion for helping others. Some volunteers have used their volunteer experience to obtain full-time employment or school credit. Other volunteers have learned new skills for a current career path or entry into the job market. While others want to keep active and involved and feel that their work is important and valuable to the County and that it enhances the effectiveness of the services provided to the public by the Department of Public Health.
Volunteers don’t get paid, NOT because they’re worthless, but because they are priceless.
